A little about me
Here are Johnās answers from her brief ā5 Questionsā interview during our Agent Spotlight:
I fell in love with it while working in the back office of an REO brokerage. I want to help clients find their dream home while still being able to spend time with my family.
Honestly, the most challenging part so far has been learning to accept that not all agents are going to have the sincerity and integrity that I hope I show my clients every day. I want to show my clients through my actions and reputation that not all agents are only there to make a quick buck. Building valuable relationships is very important to me and referrals from happy clients are the best measurement of my success.
I would advise that they have a list of needs and a list of wants for the home they are looking for that would allow me to have a starting point to which to begin looking for a home that meets their needs. And then I would listen to them and ask questions to help narrow down their choices to try and find them the perfect home in their price range. Advising them to stick with a manageable budget so that they do not overextend themselves is very important. Iāve had to process too many foreclosures for banks where the owners bit off more than they could chew and I would hate for that to happen to one of my clients.
Referrals! Having a client that is so happy with their experience with me that they send referrals my way is the absolute best part about being an agent! Seeing their joy on closing day when they get their keys would have to be a close second.
I feel like Iām different from other agents because I have worked both ends of the transaction. Iāve worked in the back office processing foreclosure listings for banks and now I am working on the much happier side helping clients find their dream home or getting the most money for the home they are selling. Iāve also got a background in writing that allows me to write descriptive narratives so that my sellersā listings get the best attention possible. I also come into this profession with many trusted relationships (inspectors, plumbers, electricians, etc.) to help complete transactions quickly and smoothly as well as for help after the sale.
Why did you choose real estate as a profession?
I've always been intrigued by the housing industry and wanted to transition from my automotive background into a career where I could help people with one of life's biggest decisions. Real estate allows me to combine my passion for homes with my commitment to exceptional customer service.
What do you believe will set you apart from other agents?
My meticulous attention to detail and genuine focus on understanding what my clients truly need. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every client has unique goals, and I take the time to listen and tailor my approach to deliver the results that matter most to them.
What would you want people to know about you if they are trying to choose a real estate agent?
I'm here to help you, not myself. This isn't about making a saleāit's about finding the right solution for your specific situation. Your satisfaction and trust are what drive me, and I'm committed to putting your best interests first in every transaction.
What is your professional background?
I built my career in the automotive industry, where I learned the importance of building lasting client relationships, managing complex transactions, and delivering exceptional service. Those skills translate perfectly to real estateāunderstanding needs, negotiating effectively, and maintaining professionalism throughout the process.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
When I'm not helping clients, you'll find me hunting and fishing. Growing up in Lavonia, Georgia, I developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. These hobbies keep me grounded and remind me of values that guide my workāpatience, community, and integrity.
